Multiple Injured as Turbulence Strikes A Delta Airlines Flight into Sydney

Several people sustained injuries when a Delta flight originating in LA to Sydney was hit by significant turbulence on Friday morning.

Flight DL41 "experienced a brief period of turbulence" as it made its approach and landed at the Sydney airport, an airline spokesperson told. Four flight attendants sustained injuries.

Local paramedics stated they evaluated five individuals, and took three of them to hospital with relatively minor issues that comprised back pain and migraines. Those affected spanned from their thirties and seventies.

It is the newest example of commercial jets being hit by severe turbulence, with researchers indicating that shifting climate patterns is a significant contributor.

The aircraft was carrying nearly 250 travelers and 15 crew members on the aircraft, the official added, stating that the plane touched down "safely" at the airport at 06:48 local time on Friday.

The NSW Ambulance Service indicated they got a call just a mere three minutes before the plane touched down, and ambulances were waiting on the tarmac.
